FANTASTIC 2013

Endless gratitude!

2013 had been a super year for me. I learned a lot of new things, visited new places and discovered more of myself.

Started in Singapore with my very best friend, Luluk, the year continued to be amazing and unbelievable (a lot of times). Let me recount my super trip list... Singapore for NYE, Batam, Makassar, Toraja, Sengkang, Manila, Seoul, Tokyo, Padang, Bukit Tinggi, Malang, Illinois, Palembang, Bali and finally... Labuan Bajo!

Also not to mention all the super event I attended in 2013.

  • JJ Lin Timeline Concert Singapore, peak moment. Best of 2013
  • Youth Leadership Summit Singapore, long process and sleep deprived paid off. Best leadership event and organization
Now the fantastic places:
  • The overall of Makassar. WOW.
  • Malacanang Palace, not all people can go in just like that y'know. Really great and well-maintenanced
  • CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP MANILA! It's seriously more fun in the Philippines tagline
  • Pearl of the east, NTT, esp Labuan Bajo and islands surround it. The scenery is just beyond great.
  • Geylang Serai and Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore. Never thought of that kind of place in Singapore before
  • Chicago and Walmart! Hahaha I seriously miss Walmart and everything inside it :P
First-Time list and great experience in 2013:
  • To speak Korean in Korea!!!
  • To dance and represent school as DANCER
  • To have my first Skype call ever... with an American.
  • To know how frustrating it is conference call in Indonesia with lame connection
  • To feel all the fun of being total-fangirl, but not the delusional one, please.
  • To forget all the school stuffs for 3 weeks!
  • To snorkel for the first time with new people
  • To erase all the perfect picture of Tokyo and Japan. Only their Kitkat is perfect.
  • To sing the Chinese lines that I'd never understand
  • To meet JJ Lin
  • To see Adam Lambert - LIVE.
  • To rethink about all the social stuff that we could easily do
  • To take care of all the littlest detail of my trip to the states (even the visa)
  • To get scholarship... even tho its not a full scholarship
  • To experience failure, twice, on SAT
  • To get my first fully-sponsored trip to the other continent
Lastly... To admit that 2013 was a year without no love story at all. ;)

I couldn't stop expressing my thankfulness to God and amazing people around me for a fantastic year. Lookin forward to 2014, but it did start great. Going off to Boston next month!
